Plant Hire Checklist
Before hiring any plant or equipment, work through this checklist to avoid costly mistakes and delays.
Before You Call
- Know your requirements — What exactly do you need? What size? What attachments? How long for?
- Check site access — Measure gates, doorways, and paths. Can the equipment physically get to where it needs to be?
- Check ground conditions — Is the ground firm enough? Will tracked machines damage surfaces?
- Check for services — Locate underground cables, pipes, and drains before any digging work.
Questions to Ask the Hire Company
